A True Book of Centuries

Posted on August 15, 2010 at 10:01 AM

Here is a great post about the Book of Centuries which clarifies what Charlotte Mason intended for this often misunderstood technique.  Every modern interpretation I've read does not explain it like this.  It is much simpler, and more FUN than I ever imagined.  Now I understand exactly how and why this can be the child's own creation.   Hope this helps and best wishes to those of you beginning your school year soon.  ~ Cori

I tried using that link and it doesn't work. In fact, I couldn't find that post on that blog site for August 2010 at all. Did you get the right link?

Wow, maybe it is temporary because it doesn't even work from the original email they sent me. I'm a subsriber to that blog. I wonder why? It was a good post too so maybe they'll put it up again! I doubt there are copyright issues so maybe it is just a glitch.

I was able to get it to work so I think it was a temporary glitch. Thanks for posting this, Cori! Pretty much flies in the face of what is in the Levison and Andreola books about BoC. Think I need to go back and read more of Ms. Mason's original writings.
