How do you plan to celebrate labor day?

And

Grandparent's day?

Any good crafts/cooking ideas?? Anything?

Labor day is a funny one.  I've never really done much for it and my birthday is always near this long weekend.

As for Grandparents day, I read a really great idea in a magazine a while ago.  It was more for Grandparents who had passed than Grandparents Day but a good one even for Grandparents who live too far away to visit often.

The woman in the article got a suitcase and filled it with her father's favorite stories, recipes, games, activities and her favorite pictures of him.  Her father loved to fish so she put tackle, etc. in there.  So when they want a "Day with Granpa" they bring out the suitcase, make recipes, go fishing, tells stories, etc.  Her kids had a greater connection with their Grandpa from this... 

I want to this for my kids Grampas since my FIL passed away 2 years ago and my Father is, well, checked out.
