Hey, all!
I came across a reference to a book called "Anthony and the Magic Picture Frame" by Michael S. Class.
I am intrigued. I am tempted... but my library doesn't have it and I am a little wary.
Is anyone here familiar with it?

My wariness is because Amazon has a comment that one reader is "glad it unself-consciously refers to God and the Bible". Now, it's a history book -- it's only normal that there might be quotes in which historical figures "blame it all n God". they did. Often. Even our own dear Miss Mason did it.
My concern is for how obtrusive it is. If it's all in an historical context and not too frequent, I can deal with it. If it's an apologia, that's another matter entirely.
Does anyone know? The web site and the Amazon reviews leave the question looming...
Thanks all!

I'm not familiar with this book but if you want I can have Drakon see if our library has it (our library system is awesome)and I could then see how religious it is. Drakon will be going to the library next Thursday or Friday.

Sorry Misti, Neither our library system nor Powells carries this book.

OK, thanks, Gina. I'll put this one on hold until our family economy looks better and then we'll see if it still looks like a good idea.
