I never thought of this before but if you have older kids it may be worthwhile to watch the DVD with your children. Drakon and KodyGirl were around when I was watching it and they began to watch it with me. I think doing this will make it easier for them to understand WHY we need to make some changes via habit training.(KodyGirl has been particularly resistent to habit training in the past but keeps bringing up parts of the DVD ever since she watched it.) For my teen it gave him some ideas of what he can do to help himself have good study and life habits. This *may be* one way to help smooth the path with older kids since it gets everyone onto the same page.

Gina, we have found that watching the Charlotte Mason DVDs with jack has made a huge difefrence in the interest he has taken in his education, so i would second the suggestion of watching Laying Down the Rails with your kids.
What it seemed to do for Jack was make it less something we were imposing on him and more something that was "the right way". (At six he's very succeptible to 'authority' and having it come from an expert outside the family has made a big difference.)
