Hi All,

This is cross posted on SecularCM yahoo group, so if you've read it there, I appologize!

I just came across this site:

http://theliteratemother.org/

It's a book review site that breaks down books by sexual content/violence/swearing/and adult themes and gives them a 1-5 rating. They don't have tons of books yet (probably around 200), and they seem to focus on the more modern books your kids will come across, but the few reviews I reviewed from the books that I've read seemed pretty accurate and fair.

This is always something I worry about with a very advanced reader who happens to only be 10 yo. I don't have time to pre-read everything she gets her hands on and I think this site will be a useful resource.

:)

Thanks for posting this Krystal! I did find it mildly amusing that Percy Jackson got a bad mark for "Language: “Thanks the gods” used as an exclamation." Heck, I say/do that regularly lol. It does look like a useful site for those of us with advanced, yet young, readers.
