Okay, I must confess that I am a Masterpiece Theater junkie.  Totally drives my husband crazy as he is not into watching tv where you have to actually pay attention lol. This past month the feature was Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens.  I do like Dickens but this is one that I had not heard of and I was quite surprised at the romance in it.  Kind of reminded me of Jane Austin or the Bronte sisters; only better. The sheer sappiness of the lead male character drove me crazy but, of course, his cluelessness was key to the plot.  But seriously, how dense can a man be?! Yep, this is one of those versions where the characters drive you crazy but at the same time you simply can't resist caring about them. Now if I only had the time to read the book!

I've been wondering if I want to watch Little Dorrit, and between your review and the Emmys it won, I'm sold now!

I do get what your husband means about paying attention when one watches MT--most of the time I'm doing other things (like homeschool planning) while watching, so "regular" tv is great for that (Bones, House, etc.), but I'll have to make time for giving Little Dorrit my undivided attention!
