was wondering what you like to read for yourself? On a CM yahoo group some ladies were discussing Mother Culture books (thanks to the big list from Gina - I've added them all to a list of books I'd like to read!)

I tend to read mostly international non-fiction such as:

A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Bael

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortensen

Princess - Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia by Jean Sasson

But, I would really like to broaden my mind and open up to other types of books.

What have you read lately (outside of parenting and homeschool books)?

Hi Heather, I just picked up Three Cups of Tea also.LOL I was very excited to find a book called "500 Great books By Women: A Reader's Guide" This is published by the Penguin Group.  It's organized by theme and fully indexed.  Some interesting books listed including the book I'm reading now.

.

I have trouble finding good stuff to read.  Perhaps we are on the same yahoo group. LOL  I put down my first selections and now I'm reading "Eleanor Roosevelt Volume 1" by Blanche Wiesen Cook. It's very interesting right from the beginning. I'm pleasantly surprised.  I might try a few more biographies after this one.

I usually read fiction but I'm trying to broaden my horizons...

Hi Ladies,

I just created a special place for this discussion over in the new category of "In it for the Long Haul". If I can ever figure out how to move around entries I'll move these over there.  In the meantime, please take the discussion there so it is easier for others to find. :)
