I have been pondering this question since I first saw it here.

What is CM about my homeschool...?  Well, Jack is six, and we're only just getting our feet wet, though I havebeen studying homeschooling for most of his life.  Also, I do theresearch, write the curriculum, assemble the materials, set them out, make the checklist...and Jack's Dad does much of the spreading of thebanquet while I am at work. That means that things are sort of CM, but far from strctly, since Rod has never found or made the time to read anything about homeschooling.  ;)

That said, although I wrote my own curriculum, it is heavily "advised" by Tanglewood and Ambleside.  So our materials are largely CM.  We LOVE books, and we do a lot of reading, both together and independently.  We do music and art appreciation as wellas  nature study.  We strive to be outdoors at least a few hours every day...though we do better and worse depending on the weather and our mood.  I try to keep twaddle to a minimum, but I am overruled regularly.

Hmmm...I'll probably have more to say as I get the hang of this.  ;)

Misti,

I always love hearing how you do homeschooling at your house. For some reason I always find some insipiration that I can use with Kody Girl. Anna, also a member of this site, is in a similar position as you.  She does much of the research and planning at her house but her hubby does most of the actual homeschooling. I bet the two of you could have some great conversations as you have a great deal in common (and not just the homeschooling!).

Thanks, Gina.  I love reading about the way you do things, too.  And I look forward to getting to know Anna, too!  :D

Funny thing how losing regular access to the greater Internet has made it easier to find time (for the time being) to catch up here.  I keep embarrassing myself my finding after I post something that I am repeating myself...and I said it better the first time.  Ooops.  ;)
